BRIGITTE KINGSLEY (SUMMER VALE) While pursuing her acting career, Brigitte graduated from York University with her Bachelor of Fine Arts, and launched a production company Defiant Empire Corporation with business partner Andrew Cymek.  She produced and starred in her first feature film Dark Rising in 2007.  The low-budget indie feature was released through Universal Vivendi in Canada and through E1 Koch in the US.  It also earned Brigitte a Canadian Comedy Award Nomination for Best Female Performance in 2008.

Her feature film Medium Raw: Night of the Wolf, an action-thriller starring John Rhys Davies (Lord of the Rings), William B. Davies (X-Files), Mercedes McNab (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Jay “Christian” Reso (WWE) is set to be released in August 2011 through Anchor Bay.

LANDY CANNON (JASON PARKS) Landy Cannon started acting in his early twenties and quickly turned heads landing numerous supporting and lead roles in film and television. With an extensive resume that crosses the gamut from hit television shows like “G-Spot”, “Relic Hunter”, “Earth: Final Conflict” & “The Jane Show” and features such as “American Psycho”, “Cat Woman” & “Jekyll and Hyde”, Landy Cannon has become a regular in the Canadian industry.
He has worked with renown directors including Bruce Macdonald (Twitch City), Mary Harron (American Psycho), Jerry Ciccoritti (Victor, Murder in the Hamptons), and James Toback (Harvard Man) and along side award winning actors such as Christian Bale, Sarah Michelle Gellar & Halle Berry.

 

NUG NAHRGANG (BULO) Nug Nahrgang is familiar to many FanExpo attendees as "Good Ol' Reliable Jake" in Evil Dead: The Musical during it's Toronto run. He has also appeared in movies such as Cube: Zero, Men With Brooms, and The Love Guru. Nug has been featured as a recurring cast member on SyFy Channel's "Scare Tactics" and CBC's "The Ron James Show". Recently, he's been one-half of Chuck & Vince in the successful "WE WANT IT!" recycling campaign for the City of Toronto. He's a nerd for comics, wrestling, and chicken wings. And, ladies, he's single.

 

 

JULIA SCHNEIDER (RENEE) Julia Schneider, studied acting at Ryerson Polytechnic University. After being involved in several school projects, she continued her love of acting in the competitive scene of the Toronto film industry. Her talent, skill and classic beauty put her immediately at the top of every casting agent’s list and landed her roles in shows such as Wild Card, Instant Star, and Sue Thomas F.B.Eye.

 

 

 

 CORY LEE (HOLLY)This young star is best known for her regular role on CTV’s Degrassi: The Next Generation, which she recently wrapped her second season on. She also held a lead role in the last two seasons of CTV’s Gemini nominated Instant Star and has appeared in principal roles in ABC’s Rookie Blue, CTV’s The Listener and CBC’s Being Erica. On the big screen, she can be seen in films like SAW V, Scary Movie 4 and The Lizzie McGuire Movie, and in a lead role in Dark Rising 2. Cory is not only an accomplished actress, but is also an internationally known recording artist. She has released a number of singles including The Naughty Song, Ovaload and her recent track Best Shot with Shaggy. She was even nominated for a Juno for Best New Recording Artist.

 

 MICHAEL IRONSIDE (COL. HAGGERD) Canadian born, Ironside began his life with aspirations to be a writer. Because of his iconic voice and his ability to play rough, hard-bitten roles, Ironside has appeared in many films and other medium as both on camera and voice talent. Such appearances include Starship Troopers, Terminator: Salvation, and the voice of DarkSeid in TVs Superman and Justice League animated series'. For nearly the last decade Michael has voice Sam Fisher, the lead character of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series.

 

 

LAUREN WILLIAMS (ROSEMARY BLACK) 

Lauren Williams is a Canadian professional wrestler, best known for working for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), under the ring name Angelina Love. In TNA, she was a record-setting five-time Women's Knockout Champion and a one-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Winter. She works outside of TNA under the ring name Angel Williams. Lauren has also spent her life branching out, gaining a Sports Administration Degree, and working for a number of years as a personal trainer, fitness model, and as a wrestling promoter.

 

KYLE BUCHANAN (DANIEL EVANS) Kyle Buchanan is a proud native of Orangeville Ontario, the town in which is he first discovered his love of entertaining. Many appearances as an award winning step dancer and in local theatre productions brought him to the attention of a Toronto talent agent and he began auditioning for professional work while still in high school. Since moving to Toronto four years ago, Kyle has had the privilege of adding numerous television and film credits to his resume including "The Best Years", YTV's "Mudpit", Family Channel's "Debra", Disney's "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure" as well as SyFy's hit series "Warehouse 13" to name a few. Of course, Kyle may be best known as the naive "Tyler" in the Roger's Wireless Campaign!

 

MATTI McLEAN (WEEBER) Matti McLean is an author, playwright, actor and director from North Bay, Ontario, but is currently living in Toronto.
He played the part of Weeber in the television series "Dark Rising: The Savage Tales of Summer Vale" and the movie "Dark Rising: Summer Strikes Back". Matti also just released a fictional book called "Catalyst" available on Amazon.
He did more exciting stuff but you'll have to find out about that later when he knows what else to say about himself.

 

 

ANDREW CYMEK is the creator of the Dark Rising projects and has extensive knowledge in writing, directing, editing and graphics that have made him a one-man operation in all creative aspects. In 2007 Cymek wrote and directed his first feature film entitled “Dark Rising” which was the launching pad for the Dark Rising Brand.  The film was released in Canada through Universal Vivendi and in the US through E1 Koch.  The independent feature film earned him 2 Canadian Comedy Award Nominations for Best Writer and Best Director and 4 nominations for his actors.  To date Andrew has written, directed and edited 3 feature including “Medium Raw: Night of the Wolf” starring John-Rhys Davies (Lord of the Rings), Mercedes McNab (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), William B. Davies (X-Files) and WWE star “Christian Cage” set to be released August 2011 through Anchor Bay.
